Daft Punk‘s “Instant Crush” serves as the latest single of album Random Access Memories, complete with a video release during the early hours of this morning. Set in a location mirroring that of The Museum of Natural History in New York City, the robots prove mannequins have feelings too through a tragic love story that will literally melt your heart. The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas serves as a vocal point for the video, lending his vocoded vocals to the symbolic tale. Daft Punk recently took the prize for Rolling Stone‘s #1 Song of 2013 for “Get Lucky” and are favorites to take away a number of nominations for this year’s Grammy awards announced today.

12-months ago, Martin Garrix was just another promising young contender amongst the masses of Dutch hopefuls. Having since shed his new-school stripes with considerable style, a trail of live global landmarks, chart topping maneuvers and bold professional advances, the 17-year old trailblazer has quickly become one of electronic dance music’s most hotly discussed assets of 2013. Rather than becoming the poster boy of young EDM frandom his journey from early Spinnin outbreak “Keygen” to influential offering “Animals“ made both Beatport and UK chart domination a precedent seldom set even in the hands of Holland’s elite national players. Add ongoing duties for Spinnin Records, a spot on Scooter Braun Projects and the prospect of extended festival domination for 2014, and it’s fair to say where many have dreamed of underdog domination, Garrix has aligned the pieces seamlessly. With his “Wizard“ track ready to pop and a whirlwind global tour to see through before 2014 is out, Dancing Astronaut took a rare opportunity to sit with the young trailblazer in London before the pace picked back up for Europe’s youngest and hungriest force on the beat. Dillon Francis Ft. T.E.E.D. – Without You (Torro Torro Remix)
Label: Mad Decent | Release Date: December 10th, 2013
We’ve already heard a remix of “Without You” by Henry Fong and a rebirth by Dillon Francis himself, but now it’s time for a twerkable take on the track by Toronto-based moombahton duo Torro Torro. The emotional, electro-infused song, featuring the vocals of English indie-electronic producer Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, receives a different, 92 BPM spin by Torro Torro. The pair have been on fire this year, especially as they’re completing their stint on Bro Safari’s Animal House tour.
